Park & Recreation Meeting Minutes

The meeting was opened by Commissioner Jeanne Reed-Waldron at 6:30 pm. The next meeting of the Park and Recreation will June 27, 2017 at 6:30 pm.

There was no public comment.

Bills were reviewed and approved.  Minutes were reviewed and approved.  

Discussion with Jon Goddard to pursue the full liquidated damages for the Whalley Park Project in the amount of $14k.~ It was noted that the irrigation contractor who has done work for the park in the past reportedly had trouble getting paid through JL’s first phase of construction.~ P&R is requesting a joint check option.

The Friends of the Rail Trail is going to have another section of parking lot paved at Miller Road.

Town beach will open Friday June 30, 2017.

John Whalley motioned to appoint Jeanne Reed-Waldron as Park & Recreation Chair and Mike Massarelli P&R Vice Chair; Mike Sheil seconded and the motion was approved.

7:43 pm John Whalley motioned to adjourn the meeting; Dave DeiDolori seconded the motion. The meeting was called to a close.
