Ramp Attendant

The Town of Southwick is seeking candidates for a position of a Ramp Attendant who is responsible for issue daily ramp permits, make change, write relevant information clearly and legibly on permits & logs, guide vehicle operators into size-appropriate parking spaces, walk around the grounds and pick up rubbish, sweep areas as needed, be friendly and have the ability and have a willingness to learn and teach the rules of the lake and proper "ramp etiquette" to all boaters. The rate of pay is $13.00 per hour

Grounds Maintenance/Ramp Attendant

The Town of Southwick is seeking candidates for a position of a Grounds Maintenance/Ramp Attendant. Main Job Requirements are to maintain grounds and associated facilities at the North and South Ramps, including mowing, trimming, raking, pruning, painting and general cleanup and maintenance, along with occasional use of ladders as part of the maintenance work. Candidates are also expected to perform Ramp Attendant duties on occasion.  The rate of pay is $13.00 per hour.

Building Department
Building Inspector/Zoning Enforcement Officer

Building Inspector/Zoning Enforcement Officer sought.  The 40 hour per week position requires exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.  Works under the Select Board’s and Chief Administrative Officer.  Assures compliance with state and local building codes, special permit conditions, stormwater permit decisions, zoning bylaws, plan reviews and approves construction plans and issues building permits. Conducts inspections and oversees other inspectors.  Successful candidate will have minimum five (5) years experience in the supervision of building construction; certification as a local inspector or certification as a Inspector of Buildings/Building Commissioner and general knowledge of building materials and safety.  Full Job Description available.  The annual starting salary range is $62,000.00 to $69,000.00 depending upon qualifications and experience. DPW Highway Division
Heavy Equipment Operator

The Department of Public Works is seeking an employee for a Heavy Equipment Operator. Candidates must be able bodied, 18 years of age, have an active Massachusetts Driver’s License, Class B CDL License and 2B Hoisting License and Heavy Equipment Operator License. Custodial/Maintenance Floater

The Town of Southwick is seeking an on call floater for custodial services at town buildings.  Pay rate $13.26 to $15.00 per hour depending upon experience.  The individual will be working for the Head Custodian or the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.
