Needle Felting Workshop

Needle Felting Workshop scheduled at Southwick Town Hall

Susan Kochanski, Chair, Southwick Cultural Council, announced that a needle felting workshop to create a Fairy Garden has been scheduled for April 18, 2024, at the Southwick Town Hall.

Fiber Artist Tracy Kochanski will introduce the exciting world of needle felting.  One can learn and practice new skills while making an enchanting fairy garden. All participants will learn how to choose wool, use proper needle technique, sculpt, and attach basic shapes to create the various elements of the garden.  It is also an opportunity to explore form, texture, and detail in a relaxed atmosphere while working with an array of colored yarn.

All materials and tools will be provided.  People new to needle felting or with various skill levels are welcome to participate.  Children aged 10 and up are encouraged to participate as long as they are with an adult. Registration is required by calling Tracy Kochanski at 413 454 3670 or Tracykochanskiart@gmail.com.  The workshop will be held from 6:00 to 8:30 pm April 18 in the lower-level community room of the Southwick Town Hall, 454 College Highway, Southwick, MA.
