Start the summer shining bright! SPL will provide all the materials to make a scented (or unscented if you like!) shimmery salt or sugar scrub.  Custom create your own!

The Southwick Library book club meets in person at the Southwick Library. June's book is "The Flight Girls" by Noelle Salazar. Copies of the book are ready for pickup.

We will be reading "Flora and Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures," by Kate DiCamillo. Over the course of the summer you'll send and receive letters to the library with fun activities in them that correspond with the story.

Today is the first day you can register for Adults, Teens and Children's Summer Reading Program. The program officially kicks off on June 26 with our Opening Day Celebration.

Color and Chat is back (and it's now Craft and Chat)- minus the cookies! This program will be held in person. Registration is required. 

Drop by any time during open hours to drop off items for our collection for the Southwick Animal Shelter. 

The shelter is especially in need of: 

paper towels

bleach

blankets

canned cat food

canned dog food

dry cat food

“Keep Me Posted” Book Club: When you sign up for this book club you will receive a copy of the book (book title TBD). In a few days, you will also receive a mysterious letter in the mail. Do NOT open the letter unless the envelope says it’s time.

Join us for our opening day for summer reading! The theme this year is animals. Drop by anytime between 10-12:30 on Saturday June 26 (rain date, July 3). We will have balloon animals, a bubble machine, crafts, snacks, games, and more. Plus, we will be having a few animal friends join us.

Artist- Instructor Molly Shaughnessy-Encarnacion of Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts is here to guide you through this fun creation lab. Mix and match stuffed animals of your choice to create your own cute or creepy creature. T-rex arms on the body of a penguin with the head of a lion?
