Report of the Cable Advisory Committee 2008

The Town of Southwick and Comcast Corp. have a new 5 year cable contract that  expires on June 2, 2012.
 

The request for a 10% senior discount was not accepted by Comcast Corp. The offer was $2.00. The eligibility requirements to receive a discount is 67 years of age plus acceptance on Medicaid. The terms and the amount of the discount were not optimal by the Cable Advisory committee and the Southwick Board of Selectmen, this is the reason for the 5 year rather than a 10 year contract.
 

Comcast is now broadcasting digital on all their channels. You should see a big improvement in the picture quality.
 

As in past years all Southwick Citizen’s are invited to visit the office/studio at the Town Hall.
