Finance Committee Meeting Minutes

        

The Finance Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

The next Finance Committee meeting will be held November 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. The FinCom would like to re-invite the Community Preservation Committee.

A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by T. Mish (Vote: Unanimous.) to approve the minutes as amended of September 26, 2016.

A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by D. Condron (Vote: Unanimous) to approve a Reserve Fund Transfer in the amount of $10,000.00 for Repairs & Maintenance for Public Safety Buildings.

There were no public comments.

None.

R. Horacek was appointed to the Community Preservation Committee. The Finance Committee discussed the frontage on North Pond along with preserving the land and other options for the parcel. The appraisal is 4.9 million dollars.

Special Town Meeting dates are for late November or beginning of December.

Budget Hearing dates possibly February 18, 2017 / March 4, 2017.

There was discussion of Post Office mail delivery. The mail goes to Hartford every other day. R. Solek, Secretary will mail the packets by Tuesday or Wednesday to ensure delivery before the meeting.
