The Finance Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
The Finance Committee will meet on February 18, 2017 immediately after the Budget Hearings.
The next Finance Committee meeting will be held March 27, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
A MOTION was made by L. Bathel, seconded by R. Horacek (Vote: Unanimous) to approve the minutes of January 9, 2017.
New Business:
R. Horacek, Vice-Chairman gave an overview of a Senior Tax Cut incentive for residents over 60. Cindy Sullivan, COA Director has agreed to help with implementing this tax credit. There would be income and asset qualifications that would have to be met. Seniors would be paid $11.00 per hour and work in various departments in Town Hall where needed. The individual or family would have to apply every year.
A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by T. Mish (Vote: Unanimous) to support the Senior Tax Cut with a maximum amount of up to $15,000.00. This recommendation will be forwarded to the Select Board for their input and decision.
Old Business:
The Granville Village School will close June 2017.
Sewer rates and increases to the users were discussed.

A MOTION was made by T. Mish, seconded by D. Condron (Vote: Unanimous) to adjourn at 6:55 p.m.
