Finance Committee Meeting Minutes

The Finance Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
 
A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by S. Chamberlin (Vote: Unanimous) to approve the minutes of January 25, 2016.
 
A MOTION was made by L. Bathel, seconded by S. Chamberlin (Vote: Yes: 5 Abstain: 1 T.M.) to approve the minutes of March 15, 2016.
 
Public Comments:
 
There were no public comments.
 
New Business:
 
The Finance Committee reviewed and discussed the CPA tax to see if the taxpayers would like to lower the percentage from 3% to 1 % and to have all properties exempt $100,000.00.
 
A MOTION was made by D. Condron, seconded by S. Chamberlin (Vote: Unanimous) to keep and retain in some form the CPA tax.
 
A MOTION was made by T. Mish, seconded by D. Condron (Vote: Yes: 4 No: L.B; R.H Abstain: 1 S.C.) to decrease the CPA tax from 3% to 1 % and for Town Counsel draft the Warrant Article.
 
A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by A. Pinell (Vote: Yes: 6 No: 1 T.M.) to have all properties exempt $100,000.00.
 
The Finance Committee reviewed the FY 2017 Town Budget.
 
A MOTION was made by D. Condron, seconded by L. Bathel (Vote: Unanimous) to table the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen’s salary.
A MOTION was made by L. Bathel, seconded by R. Horacek (Vote: Unanimous) to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting at 7:35 p.m.
