COA Meeting Minutes

MEETING CALLLED TO ORDER 1:00 pm
 
Presiding: Roy Benson
 
Present:  Joan Plancon, Herb Pace, Rebecca Perron, Mary Alice Martin, Associate members: Paula LeBlanc, Donna Charron, Carol Laughlin and Director Cindy Sullivan.
 
Absent: Harriet Fischer and Mary Jane Connelly
 
Minutes: Reviewed and accepted. Mary Alice moved to accept, Herb second, approved by all.
 
Bills: Reviewed and signed.
 
New Business:
 
  • Staff Meeting Coverage -  COA Board members to come in at 12:30 pm on the 2nd Monday of the month to man phones so staff can meet.
  • Mural - Westfield Technical Academy Graphic Arts students are volunteering to paint a mural for wall in exercise room.
  • Cooking Class - Westfield Technical Academy Culinary Arts instructor will teach the class. Date and place to be announced.
  • Volunteer Luncheon - May 18th, 11:30am to 1:00pm at Tuckers. Cost, $23.00 for non volunteers.
  • Sarah Gillette Grant for computer class no longer exists. We will apply for grant to go towards a workshop on Laughter Therapy for $175.00.
  • Talent Show - May 4th, 1:00 pm.
  • Picture Contest - picture between ages of 20-45 of any senior to be displayed.
  • Valentine's Day Ice Cream Social - February 14th, cost $1.00.
  • St. Patrick's Day Breakfast - March 17th, 8:30 am-10:00 am.
Updates on Representatives for:
 
  • Classes - Joan to report    
  • Transportation - Rebecca to report
  • Dining Center - New Chef in Northampton, food is better. Donna to report
  • Brown Bag - Carol to report
  • Finances - Mary Alice to report

     
Old Business:
 
  • Cindy to get something to store supplies for classes
