COA Meeting Minutes

MEETING CALLLED TO ORDER 1:00pm
 
Presiding: Roy Benson
 
Present:  Mary Jane Connolly, Joan Plancon, Herb Pace, Rebecca Perron, Mary Alice Martin, Associate members: Paula LeBlanc, Donna Charron, Carol Laughlin and Director Cindy Sullivan.
 
Absent: Harriet Fischer
 
Minutes: Reviewed, Herb moved to accept, Mary Alice second, approved by all.
 
Bills: Reviewed and signed.
 
New Business:
 
  • Board welcomed three new associates. Being sworn in were, Donna Charron, Paula LeBlanc and Carol Laughlin.
  • Upcoming Events :
1. Ice Cream Social, February 12th at 12:00pm. Cost $1.00 per person
2. Volunteer Luncheon - Board decided that they wanted to use Tucker’s Restaurant again this year. Cindy will look into either May 11th or May 18th.  Board also decided that 15 hours is required for volunteering, but discretion will be used if they are a consistent volunteer for particular opportunity such as brown bag etc.   
3. Do Re Me's - April 13th at 12:30pm.
  • Requests made for:
1. Mirrors in the exercise room, denied by board
2. Lights over the pool table. Cindy checking what the cost will be.
3. New balls for Bingo, approved by board.
  • Past Activities - Christmas Party, one hundred people attended, great music. Three Hundred Sixty dollars put in gift account from raffle.
  • Budget Hearing will be February 6, 2016 or February 27, 2016.
  • LEPC Representative - next meeting is January 28, 2016 at 9:30am. Mary Alice Martin made a motion and Roy Benson seconded to have Cindy Sullivan be representative at this time.  All were in favor. Herb showed an interest in being representative but wanted to see if others would be interested. LEPC only needs one person to be representative.
  • Highland Valley Representative - need one more representative. They meet the first Monday of the month from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Carol Laughlin is going to shadow Mary Jane at the next few meetings to see what the commitment is.

All are fine - assignments will be given out at the next meeting for a board member to report on each.
 
Old Business:
 
  • Checking on someone to restart the Computer classes.
  • Would like to start a cooking class.

     
Motion to adjourn, Mary Alice moved, Herb second. Approved by all.
