Review Minutes and Bills
Bills were reviewed and approved.  Minutes were reviewed and approved.

Whalley Park
Mike Markiewicz with NWS Elite does not want to pay $1,200 to use the 60’ field.  He said he will look for alternatives.  Review Hornets field use request for March-July 2017.  Review three electrical quotes to install heat in the restrooms to keep bathrooms from damage from freezing and installing electrical to the maintenance building.  Mike Massarelli motioned to accept A1 quote and go to the finance committee with the quote; Dave DeiDolori seconded and the motion was approved.  The Granby Dragons is using the 90’ fields Wednesdays and Fridays.  They have not requested use of the fields or given payment for them.  Dave and Pat will go up there the next time they are using the fields to get a contact name.  Maintenance is not sure how to blow out the water lines in the rest rooms to winterize it.  And they are not sure how to winterize waterless toilets.  Pat said he will show them.  Roots Southwick Soccer travel League is using the lower field at Whalley Park on various days Monday-Friday’s from 4:30-6:30 for practices.  They would like to continue to use the fields in exchange for field maintenance.  Pat met with R.Levesque Associates.  The bids for lighting came in higher than anticipated at $566,000.  We have $541,000 for the project.  A few items will need to be taken out to lower the bid.  Jeanne said the softball fields grass is high.  Pat said with the Whalley Park maintenance employee’s hours being cut to 10 hours a week he cannot get to all areas.  Pat said he will mow the field.

Rail Trail
Rodger, Pete and Brooks from the Friends of Southwick Rail Trail installed two benches along the trail at the South end.  They are spaced approximately 0.3 miles apart.

Prifti Park
No new movement.

Children’s Halloween Party
The Whip City Witches would like to do a 10 min performance at the party.  All the commissioners were open to this.  There will be 8-10 trick or treat stops at the Town Hall.  The kids entering the party will be given tickets for trick or treating and tickets for popcorn or cotton candy.  The excess waste of unlimited cotton candy and popcorn in the past needs to be controlled.

New Business
Maintenance winterized the Town Beach on October 12, 2016
