Review Minutes and Bills

Bills were reviewed and approved.  Minutes were reviewed and approved.

Whalley Park

The two wells have been drilled and the pipes are in ground.  Pat is working on quotes for electrical.  We will contact dig safe after we receive the quotes.   The water break was fixed.  Pat is getting quotes to fix the sidewalk.  One of the bathrooms has a leak in the toilet.  It will need to be replaced.  Review Whalley Park request for field use.  We received $5,000 check from Berkshire Soccer.  Mike Massarelli has a quote for a lining machine and batter box.  John contacted Agawam P&R about their use of rock salt to kill the weeds on the ball fields.  John will get more information as to how it is put down.  Review Whalley Park rules for the next meeting.

Prifti Park

The playground area was inspected by The Massachusetts Office on Disability and the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association.  John Westcott stated the updates needed would cost $54,000.  John went to CPC to request $54,000.  This will include 6’ of certified playground rubber mulch.  The slide will need to be replaced, it is too high off the ground and even with new mulch it still will be.  A set of stairs needs to be replaced on the small playscape.  The fence abutting bank parking lot needs to be entirely taken down, it’s a life safety hazard due to children could climb under it.  10’ north and 10’ south there will be gate entrances.  The sewer cover needs to be lowered 2”.  There will need to be slide pads under all the swings, slide, pole, and anything kids can come down from.  The CPC voted to approve $54,000 on Prifti updates with a stipulation of deed restriction.

Brooks will replace the Plexiglas on the kiosk next week.
