Park & Recreation Meeting Minutes

The meeting was opened by Commissioner Patrick Roche at 6:30 pm. The next meeting of the Park and Recreation will May 25, 2016 at 6:30pm.

There was no public comment.

Bills were reviewed and approved.  Minutes were reviewed and approved.  

John is working with Mike at Musco on the new lights at the park.  When the bid is written up he would like to include a penalty clause if the project goes past the finish date.  John Whalley will go to the Motor Cross meeting.  Cara attended a meeting with Karl Stinehart, Carol DellaGiustina, and Sandy Salmond to come up with a schedule for maintenance to clean the restrooms and empty the trash at the park.  Maintenance will empty the trash and clean the restrooms on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s.  The toilet paper and hand towels have to be filled every day.  Sandy is going to get quotes for large toilet paper dispensers and hand dryers.  

Brooks received a quote from Crestview Construction to pave a 50’ area at Miller Road.  The quote was $1,980.  John suggested Brooks call Hillside Excavating for another quote.  

Interview lifeguard. Wilderness Experience will hold open water certification course at the Town Beach on June 28, 2016.  Cara will contact all the lifeguards to attend.  

John Westcott’s proposed renovations to bring park up to code was approved by the town.  

No new business.

8:06pm  Mike Massarelli motioned to adjourn the meeting; John Whalley seconded the motion. The meeting was called to a close.
