1. Mike DeBay made a motion to accept the minutes from the November 10, 2016 meeting as written.  Eric seconded.  All were in favor and the motion passed.

 

2. Lake Level - 223.8' MSL which is still down 7 inches from nominal.  

 

3. Alum treatment –  We all received a permitting packet prepared by Ken Wagner for the Town of Brewster, MA, detailing their Notice of Intent (NOI) & Order of Conditions.  After discussing it in detail, Mike DeBay made motion that Ken be contracted with to write the NOI for the Alum treatment.  Scotty seconded.  All were in favor and the motion passed.

 

4. LPP for Despard Docks – We have already received some information and photos on this in the past but Dick will send us what else he has accumulated regarding the Despard docks and land.  

 

5. North Ramp Vandalism – Five trash receptacles were damaged and along with one of the two flag pole lights.  Thanks to our video surveillance system and Southwick Police hard work and SPD's use of Facebook, police were able to find the responsible individuals.  The responsible individuals have agreed to repair all damages.  

 

6. We are happy to report that all ramp attendants would like to return for the 2017 season.  Malcolm DeBay made a motion to accept all returning ramp attendants for the 2017 season.  Mike DeBay seconded, all were in favor and the motion passed.  All paperwork was signed.  

 

7. Budget – Same as 2016 with the addition of Line item: Alum treatment $850,000.00. In addition, dredging was added as a line-item with hopes of state and/or federal funding.  Canal Brook and Great Brook dredging is projected to last 20 - 40 years.  Malcolm DeBay made a motion to accept the budget with the changes mentioned.  Mike DeBay seconded.  All were in favor and the motion passed.

 

8. OFBA Director, Jack Sheppard, thinks that he can provide the LMC with $10,000 to fund upgrading the 25-year old HPS ramp lighting to LED.

 

9. Holiday Party – Friday the 16th.  Dick will email us the details

 

10. Ken made a motion to adjourn and Deb. seconded.  All were in favor.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 pm.

 

11. The next scheduled meeting will be held on January 12, 2016.
