Hidden Figures Topic of Book Discussion

The Adult Book Discussion Group is meeting on Wednesday, February 7th at 1:30 p.m. to exchange thoughts on Margot Lee Shetterly’s book Hidden Figures. All adults that have read the book and are interested in participating are welcome to attend.

Copies of the March selection Caleb’s Crossing by Geraldine Page will be available for purchase after the discussion. The publisher summarizes this title as follows: “Growing up in the tiny settlement of Great Harbor amid a small band of pioneers and Puritans, Bethia Mayfield yearns for an education that is closed to her due to her gender. As soon as she can, she slips away to explore the island's glistening beaches and observes its native Wampanoag inhabitants. At twelve, she encounters Caleb, the young son of a chieftain, and the two forge a secret friendship that draws each into the alien world of the other.” Copies will also be available for purchase at the Circulation Desk following the discussion. You may also check-out the library’s copy or request a copy through interlibrary loan. The group will meet in March on the 7th.
