Financial Aid Basics

The library will be closed October 11 in observance of Columbus Day.

The Southwick Public Library Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 10am! October's book is "Anxious People" by Fredrik Backman. Copies are available for check-out at the library. 

We'll be showing a cheesy 1987 movie called "Cry Wilderness" about a student befriending Sasquatch. Refreshments provided. No sign up required.

SSI/SSDI training 10/16 @9:00am Caitlin has nearly 20 years of experience with Social Security disability claims.

Now through November 22, drop off or email (southwicklibrary@comcast.net) your favorite cookie recipe! We will collect all the recipes and have them available beginning December 1! You can come in and pick out a few recipes to make!

 All are welcome to join. We will have coloring books and supplies, but you are also welcome to bring whatever craft project you're working on. This event will be held in person at the library. 

Join us on October 19th for a storytime aimed at 1-5 year olds and their caregivers.

Have you ever wondered what kind of ghouls could be lurking in your own back yard? If so, join us to listen as the outdoor explorer Michael Girard from Strange New England as he shares some of New England's most interesting monsters.

IEP training 10/21 @ 6:00pm Lisa Destefano and Launa Kazeroid will share both school and parent perspectives on do's and don'ts for IEP meetings.  Focus will include how to prepare, what to expect during, laws and family rights, etc. Resources will be shared.

Juggler Performance 10/23 @11am (Registration Required, in person)Henry the Juggler (AKA Henry Lappen) is wanted!  He is wanted by audiences everywhere for his zany attempts to defy the laws of gravity.  He juggles any number of balls, clubs, rings, members of the audience . .

5 years old and up All Supplies are provided.

Join us for teats (and maybe some tricks). There will be crafts, music, games and more to get you in the howliday spirit!

Foul Play Murder Mystery Co. is here to host a virtual game, "Wanderstar."  A storm has everyone on lockdown, and a murder mystery surrounding a treasure must be solved. Can you unravel the clues? Registration registration required, space is limited.

Not “too” scary stories with John Porcino 10/28 @3:30pm (Registration Required, In person)  All Ages are invited to this Halloween Themed musical Storytime.
