1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Join us for Paint Night! You don't have to be an artist to have fun and create a one of a kind piece to take home! All supplies will be provided. We will be creating a fall painting using acrylic paint. Please register in advance as spots are limited! 

 Story Yoga with Miss Lisa~targeted for ages 2-5 years old with a caregiver on Zoom. Enjoy a read aloud with stretching, balancing, focused breathing, and movement activities. Participants must register to receive Zoom link.

Make your own custom sign by using saltwater and electricity to etch your design into metal.  All materials provided, sign up HERE.  Sept 9, 2:30-3:30. For students entering 7-12 grade. 

All are welcome to join. September's book is "An Irish Country Doctor" by Patrick Taylor. Copies will be available at the library the week of August 16.

We Supply the Legos and you supply the creativity. Lego Club is Back! 

9/16 from 3pm-4pm Grades 3-6 students are welcome to join us in the Children's room where we will build, learn, and play with Legos!

Ahoy! Drop in any time and give the Librarian your best "ARRRRRRR MATEY!" to win some pirate's treasure.

At 3pm we will have crafts and games.

At 4pm there will be a Story (Warning:There be pirates in this book!)

There will also be a take home craft available.

 All are welcome to join. We will have coloring books and supplies, but you are also welcome to bring whatever craft project you're working on. This event will be held in person at the library. 

Western Massachusetts Hilltown Hikers (in person)– September 22, 6:30pm– This presentation will describe the locations of several beautiful and natural public hiking trails that are located in the Southern Hilltowns including waterfalls and natural rock formations.

STEAM 9/23 @ 4:30PM via Zoom

This event will take place at Blueberry Hill in Granville, MA. Please park in the designated area at the entranceway. Participants are required to sign a waiver.

Get ready to dance, move, eat, and think like a bee in this interactive lesson on honeybees! Do you know what the bees that make your honey are getting their nectar from? Bee prepare to try a few different types of honey from local apiaries and test your taste buds!

As part of Climate Week, Southwick teens are doing our part by learning about single-use disposables and their impact, and alternatives that we can choose every day. We will also be making "edible water bottles" to replace plastic bottles.

In honor of Climate Preparedness Week, September's cookbook is "In the Green Kitchen" by Alice Waters. Copies will be available late August for checkout. Each participant is asked to make one regular sized recipe so everyone can taste.

Miss Jane presents Exercise and Emotions for children ages 3-5, with a caregiver. This group will bring awareness to big and small feelings while practicing breathing and mindful movements. Participants will enjoy a read-aloud, activity and movements~ on Zoom!
