MR. FITZGERALD’S REPORT

9 Foster Road Mr. FitzGerald related information concerning repairs for the property.  Due to the potential repair by the mortgage holder, the Housing Court scheduled meeting date for the Attorney General to appoint a receiver on May 9th will be delayed to allow for the bank to possibly make the necessary repairs.

18 Eagle Street  Mr. FitzGerald reported that a receivership will need to be appointed for this long vacant property.  The Attorney General’s Office has been reviewing potential candidates.  Mr. FitzGerald will attend Housing Court on the issue on May 9, 2017.

8 Curtis Road  Mr. FitzGerald conducted a site visit at the location.  There has been some progress in cleaning the property, but a violation notice will be issued to the owner.

25 Buckingham Drive  Mr. FitzGerald received a call from a neighbor who stated that there are vehicles at the abandoned property at all times of the day and night.  A violation notice will be issued to the property owner.

82 North Lake Avenue  Mr. FitzGerald reported that a neighbor complained of a blue tarp inserted along the fence line.  Mr. FitzGerald conducted a site visit and found the yard to be well maintained and will refer the issue to Mr. Lawler, Building Inspector, to help resolve the issue.

224 Vining Hill  Mr. FitzGerald stated that the Attorney General’s Office will make another attempt to contact the owners attorney concerning this vacant property.  The Attorney General’s Office did issue a letter to the owner who stated that the property was going to be sold.  There has been no change at the property since the first notice.  A second contact will be made through the District Attorney’s Office.

26 Laurel Ridge  Mr. FitzGerald reported that this property is vacant.  However, the property is being maintained by the mortgage holder and there has been no complaints from the neighbors.
