The regularly scheduled June 24, 2008, meeting was opened at 6:30PM by Chairman, Kelly Magni.
Bills were signed and previous meeting minutes accepted.
The members discussed the release of one of the beach managers and a replacement.
The town’s fireworks will take place on July 12 and members of the Commission will be in attendance to help where needed. Two bounce houses were ordered. Kline View Stables will hold pony rides, Kris Sanders will DJ and Kim Lishness will be doing face painting. Novelties and food vendors will be on hand also.
Tom Fitzgerald was informed that all the vendors have their food permits.
Kelly asked that Judy send a letter to the Board of Selectmen requesting funds for security detail by the Southwick Police Department.
Bill Jenkins attended the meeting to ask if the walkway into the beach could be dedicated to Mrs. Biardi with a sign or bench of some kind. Mrs. Biardi previously owned the property where the beach is now. She is 95 years young
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm.
