MINUTES

John Stadrdcki, Chairman, cafled the meeting to Order @ 7:10 PM. There was a quorum. Present: J Stadnicki, D Clark, J Cass, B Bradley, M Mizanoglu, C Samuelson
Review of Minutes - D Clark mode a motion to accept the amended Minutes of 4-13-20. Motion Carried
Land Maintenance Sofinowski Preserve - Bettye Bradley mentioned that two loads of mulch had been delivered and need to be spread. It was agreed that members would meet in the Parking Lot between 9:30 and 10:00 Saturday.
Members discussed ideas and locations for the Memorial Bench for Daniel Schiosser.
Indian Desert / Hartford Fern - Mr. Clark reported that he had accompanied the representative for NHESP program to look for the Hartford Fern (Climbing Fern). They crossed the Indian Desert and he was very impresses with the extremely fine sand area that was ringed with Pines. He also stated he was very concerned with the presence of trash in this area and evidence of Off-Rood-Vehicles. They were unable to locate the Fern but will return later in the summer to do so.
North Loomis Land Preservation - Kellogg Trust - Mr. Clark advised the members that he had heard from a member of the Kellogg family inquiring about the prospect of preserving this parcel of land off N. Loomis St. He further explained that the majority of Town officials feel this is not a good time financially to pursue the purchase of additional Open Space Land. The Town is not in a position to add additional insurance costs and maintenance costs. If the decision is made to move ahead with this acquisition the Town will need a Land Trust to purchase a Conservation Restriction on the land. It was decided to invite Mr. Kellogg to the next meeting to introduce the SOSPC to this parcel.
Additional request for Land Preservation - C. Colson inquired on behalf of her mother, Italia Cecchini, regarding the possibility to put a Conservation Restriction on 22 acres of land @ 34 Granville Rd.
Albert DeLoretto - Mr. DeLoretto did not attend this meeting.
Granville Gorge - Mr. Mika, a neighbor, requested that the line of trees on the property line between the Gorge and his home be removed to eliminate a mold problem on his residence.
