7:15 PM: Hudson Drive - Shaker Farms
Mr. Mark Shute from D. L. Bean and Mr. and Mrs. Kotowitz of Shaker Farms presented plan to excavate to the property line therefore seeking relief from the 100 foot buffer zone required.
Both property lines were indicated on the plan also showing wetlands and the 12 - 13 acres they are looking to excavate. It was advised that if buffer zone remains intact, the elevation would be severe and could be a safety hazard. Mr. Kotowitz also expressed concern over the fact that this property is land-locked without this variance moving forward. Mr. Shute advised that Tilcon Minerals is also in favor as they would like to excavate to property line also. Mr. Stapleton advised that since two properties were requesting relief, an additional variance would need to be submitted for the Tilcon property. As such, the hearing was continued until December l2th.
8:15 PM Mr. Lis made a motion to adjourn the hearing and Mr. Methe second. All were in favor and hearing was closed.
