Pat McMahon, Vice Chair, Southwick Cultural Council (SCC), announced that the Council will host a travelogue focused on Central and Eastern Europe. The travelogue is scheduled for January 22 at the Southwick Town Hall Auditorium, 454 College Highway, Southwick, MA at 2:00 p.m.
A travelogue is a 60 minute presentation including questions and answers about interesting places around the world, describing art, music, architecture, culture and history from a first person perspective. Travelogues open the world for people of all ages, enhancing student classroom experiences, and enabling adults to relive or plan for vacations and business trips around the world.
Laura Cook, Travel Consultant with Wilderness Experiences will share her experiences and insights from her numerous trips to Europe. Wilderness Experiences has been traveling with groups internationally for more than a decade.
Admission is free; however, donations will be accepted. All proceeds support Cultural Council programs and activities for the Town of Southwick.
The Southwick Cultural Council (SCC) is an all-volunteer local partner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), a state agency and is funded in part by the MCC and Town of Southwick. The SCC is devoted to bringing engaging, entertaining, and educational events to the children and adults from Southwick and surrounding communities.
