There were no public comments.

6:35 P.M. Bills and Mail:

A MOTION was made by Mr. Pinell, seconded by Mr. Cataldo (Vote – Unanimous) to sign all of the following:

•       The Board of Selectmen, who act as the Police Commissioners, will notify Giselle Everett in writing relating to her change of employment.

•       The Board of Selectmen, who act as the Police Commissioners, will notify Marc Siegel that he will be re-classified as a Reserve Police Officer.

•       A letter was received from the Lead Nurse for the STRSD requesting support from the Board of Selectmen to write letters to our Legislative Delegation to support funding the Essential School Health Infrastructure Services Grant. Chief Administrative Officer, Karl J. Stinehart will compose the letter.

•       A request from the Chief of Police to the Board of Selectmen to fund the K-9 cage for the cruiser in the amount of $1,570.00. The present dog cage is 10 years old and is oxidizing. Approved funds from a gift account.

•       A one day entertainment license for TieBreakers was approved for May 24, 2008 with the condition that a Fire Detail person will be present with a 95 person capacity not to be exceeded including employees.

•       The Community Police Academy graduation is May 5, 2008 at the Town Hall Auditorium.

•       The Board of Selectmen signed a Reserve Fund Transfer in the amount of $15,000.00 for Gas and Oil for town wide vehicle fleet.

•       The Board of Selectmen received an invitation to participate in the Memorial Day Services and the Parade on Monday May 26, 2008.

•       The official ground breaking ceremony for Phase 1 of the Rail Trail has been set for Monday May 12, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Congamond Road

•       crossing. The closure of the Culvert project on Congamond Road will also be recognized.

•       The Chief of Police sent a list of applicants to be removed from the Reserve Officer candidate pool.

•       An invoice in the amount of $1,580.00 for the Boys & Girls Club was approved for payment.

•       Chief Krynicki submitted two Policies and Procedures that are ready for review by the Board of Selectmen.

A MOTION was made at 7:00 p.m. by Mr. Pinell, seconded by Mr. Cataldo (Vote-Unanimous) to adjourn the meeting.
