The scheduled meeting of the Finance Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

The next scheduled meeting of the Finance Committee will be after the Budget Hearings
sometime in February.

A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by C. Garvey (Vote: Unanimous) to accept
the minutes of November 19, 2007.

Old Business: The Finance Committee briefly discussed the SBA project.

New Business: A letter was received from Linda Carr, Town Accountant explaining the recommendation of raising the level of capital purchases from $5,000.00 to $15,000.00. This will need to be voted on by the Finance Committee and sent to the Town Auditor. The Finance Committee would like to meet with Tom Scanlon, Town Auditor to discuss this change and get more clarification. Budget Hearings are scheduled for February 9, 2008 and February 16, 2008.

A memo was received from Jeff Neece, DPW Director recommending and requesting approval to deficit spend on the Winter Roads Budget for FY 2008. A MOTION was made by P. Tsatsos, seconded by R. Horacek (Vote: Unanimous) to approve the request to deficit spend on the Winter Roads Budget.

A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by P. Tsatsos (Vote- Unanimous) to approve a Reserve Fund Transfer in the amount of $10,000.00 in the Tax Title line item.

A MOTION was made by P. Tsatsos, seconded by R. Horacek (Vote- Unanimous) to approve a Reserve Fund Transfer in the amount of $10,000.00 for DPW Repairs and Inspections line item.

A MOTION was made by P. Tsatsos, seconded by C. Garvey (Vote- Unanimous) to approve the Board of Selectmen to pursue the Emergency Telecommunication System / Connect City for the Town of Southwick.

A MOTION was made by R. Horacek, seconded by C. Garvey (Vote- Unanimous) adjourn at 7:30 p.m.
