Holiday Closings
The primary concern of the Engineering Division is the paving of town roads and the major repairs of each.  Each project is submitted to the Board of Selectmen for their approval and to prioritize each project.  Then the engineer distributes funds to the projects through the town budget or Chapter 90 Funding.  

Chapter 90 is an amount apportioned to all towns and cities in the Commonwealth based on the number of miles of accepted and paved roads in each town or city.  This funding is spent only on pre-approved projects, or items of machinery that can be used to construct roads.  These funds vary year to year due to amount spent or state projects.
