COA Monthly Meeting
November 15, 2011
MEETING CALLLED TO ORDER 1:00 PM
Presiding: Roy Benson
Present: Herb Pace, Lorraine Lawrence, Joan Plancon, Mary Alice Martin, Mary Jane Connolly, Harriet Fischer, Associate Member Joyce Bannish and Director Jeanne Margarites.
Absent: Associate Member Rebecca Perron
Minutes: Reviewed and accepted
Bills: Reviewed and signed.
Old Business:
- Pizza Party 10/26/11 - A good crowd and good pizza.
- COA Open House 12/15/11 at 11:00am - Piano player Jeff Morey will entertain. COA Board will be here 9:30 am to fill sandwiches.
- Senior Christmas Party 12/08/11 at Tuckers Restaurant. Eighteen dollars, meal choice Pot Roast, Scrod, or Chicken.
- Bright Nights 12/12/11 and 12/19/11 - no drivers yet.
- Sewing machines - Money is here, Joyce and Carol will purchase equipment.
- Computers - No grant needed. Berkshire Bank is donating 4 new computers.
New Business:
- Power Outage Update - Center had a full house for anywhere from 12 to 14 hours a day. Cooked food was sent in. People cooked and cleaned while here. Selectmen reviewing and will make lists for next time emergency happens.
Other Business:
- Budget 2012-2013. Selectmen asked Jeanne to prepare 3 different budgets for review.
1. Level at $9,842.00
2. Minus 5% at $9,349.90
3. Minus 10% at $8,857.87
Updates on
- Classes - Joan, except for finding rooms, all is well.
- Dining Center - Harriet, kitchen used during storm.
- Transportation - Mary Jane, still looking for new drivers.
- Finances - Mary Alice, ahead on bread drivers $52.00.
- Brown Bag - Lorraine, correct amount of food and plenty of help this month.
Herb moved to adjourn, Mary Alice second.
