COA Monthly Meeting
June 10, 2008
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER 1:00pm
Presiding: Mary Alice Martin
Present: Lorraine Lawrence, Mary Alice Martin, Joan Plancon, Roy Benson, Herb Pace, Ed Nitsch, Associate member Mary Jane Connolly, and Director Jeanne Margarites.
Absent: Harriet Fischer
Minutes: Reviewed and accepted
Bills: Reviewed and signed
Old Business:
• Health Fair 6/9/08 – about 70 people attended. Good review from people and Vendors – 32 Vendors.
• Cookbook – Sold many cookbooks for $10.00. Andrea will make more and distribute.
• Picnic 6/25/08 – 12:30 $4.00. Must sign up. COA cooking and setting up.
• Voting – New officers voted in unanimously.

Secretary – Joan Plancon
New Business:
• Andrea’s hours as of 7/1/08 changed from 20 to 25 hours per week.
• FRTA – Ed and Ruth attended meeting. Southwick gets 10.6% of budget. Our vote counts 3 ? %.
• HVES – Jeanne reported on John Lutz update of grant money. We will be level funded. HVES would like some one to go to Westfield to pick up meals once a week. COA discussed cutting meals to possibly 3 times a week. The other 2 would be frozen meals from HVES and soup and sandwiches or soup and salad the other day. HVES will supply frozen meals and supplies for soup and sandwiches.
• Motion made by Herb to appoint 4 people and report to COA every month on the following:
Programs – Joan Plancon
Meals – Lorraine Lawrence
Finance – Mary Alice Martin
Transportation – Herb Pace
Joan seconded the motion. Approved unanimously.
• There will be no meeting in July.
Meeting adjourned 1:50pm
Next meeting August 12, 1:00pm.
