Teens entering 7th grade through 12th grade in September are invited to participate in our Wild Reads @ Southwick Public Library Sun Time Reading Program. Each time you visit the library after having read a Southwick Public Library book, you may submit a chance for a weekly prize drawing. Prizes include movie tickets, gift certificates and a Big E ticket. Registration starts on Monday, June 9thand runs from Monday June 23rd to August 1st. Special programs offered during the program include:
Chinese Cooking with Norma Chang on Tues. July 20 from 2-3:30 p.m. - Teens will get the chance to cook and eat Chinese food.
Frame a Memory Workshop with Nancy Laflamme - Tuesday, July15th from 1:30-2:15 p.m. Bring in one or two photos to decorate with special paper, stickers, etc and frame. All materials including fames will be provided. Funding for these two programs is provided by the Friends of the Southwick Public Library.
Dessert and Discussion -Wednesday July 30th from 1:30-2:15 p.m. We will discuss The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau. The library will provide desserts and a beverage.
