Teen Knitting Service Project Open to all 7th – 12th Graders
The first meeting of the Teen Knitting group for 2012 is scheduled to meet on Monday, January 9th from 2:30 - 4:00 PM in the Southwick Public Library’s Community Room. This program is open to all 7th - 12th graders. Mrs. Geryk will be available each time we meet to teach those who have never knitted before. She will also help those that need help with their project. We will be knitting children’s scarves and hats this year. The library will supply the yarn but you must bring your own knitting needles. Knitting needles may be purchased at any craft store, Wal-Mart, Open State Job Lot, etc. for approx. $5.00 (any size 9 - 11 is good) or if you know someone that knits you may want to ask them to borrow a pair.
Not interested in knitting? We will have board games available in the Community Room.
