The Southwick Public Library will celebrate February, Library Lovers Month, with a drawing for a tote bag full of logoed items and other materials, and something sweet, too! For the entire month, patrons will be asked to answer the following question: “What do you love about the Southwick Public Library.” Each time they fill the slip out, they will be given a chance to win the tote (once per day, please).
The idea for Library Lovers Month came from patrons who see that their libraries are struggling just like everyone else during the economic downturn. According to their Twitter comments, they felt “libraries are a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life; they offer security and peace and quiet. They are also a place where you can focus surrounded by likeminded people with the desire to acquire knowledge.”
